It seems like it is a weekly event where I accidently blow off a guy when he hints for my number. Take the guy I met in Tampa for example, we had really hit it off then he asks why we didn't hang out all day, to which I reply I didn't get the invite. He tells me he doesn't have my number (well, duhhhh, obviously not since we just met yesterday) to which I promptly replied "That's unfortunate." Smooth. He even had his phone in his hand. Way to fail with that one and force myself into the Thursday the 12th freak out --- which by the way we did eventually communicate via text!
A few weeks back I had a similar situation occur. I was standing at the bar when the guy next to me offers his buddy a shot. His buddy politely declines and suddenly I have word vomit and look at him and say "wuss." No sir, we don't know one another. No, you didn't ask me to be in your conversation. Yes, I did just insult you. Guy 1, who had offered the shot immediately falls in love with me and buys me one instead. This is the beginning to a really great hour long relationship consisting of him buying me shots and me making fun of strangers. When it is time to leave, he gets his phone out and says he would like to see me sometime. I proceeded to look at the phone, then him and say "you will have to find me." WTF?! Who does that? This guy was great -- smart, funny, successful. Why do I continually shoot down guys that I actually would like to give my number to?
The good news is that I sometimes have the ability to spit out the digits. Like last night, when I gave my number to a guy I had gone to high school with who had just finished telling me about how his brother is a meth addict. I didn't know how to tell him know when he straight up asked at the time. I have no idea why one of my really suave lines that I usually use didn't come right out of my mouth. I can't explain in the least bit why I was giving my number to a guy that I never spoke to in high school and I feel fairly certain is a drug dealer. I have got to learn how to use my game. I've got some, I just spit it in the most bizarre places.
