Friday the 13th has nothing on Yesterday...

Today is Friday the 13th. Yikes! Although today can honestly not go much worse than yesterday did. I am convinced that Thursday the 12th is just as unlucky.

The day started out great. My boss was out of town so obviously I was busy with my newest hobby -- bidding on tons of things on ebay that I do not need. Mid-morning my boss calls and asks me to please take a document to someone a few blocks away to get it signed and then to deliver it to the final destination. I was thrilled for a field trip, plus I had bid every last penny in my bank account until I got paid today. I announce to the entire office where I am heading (just in case they suddenly were going to have a task for me to take on for the first time in six months) and skip out the door delighted to see the sunshine and enter the crisp 55 degree weather. I am happily walking along the sidewalk when I approach a cross walk at a red light. I look left, right, then left again (even though I am crossing a one way street and only needed to look right) and feel that it is totally safe to begin crossing. Simultaneously, I see a tan TrailBlazer slowing down toward the crosswalk. She has a redlight and there is no right turn on red here, so I assume that she is approaching a stop. I continue to cross the street and she continues to drive. I walk. She drives. I walk. She drives. Bam! She hits me! Or more so bumps me as I smack the hood of her car as hard as I can. The bitch then has the nerve to look at me like it is my fault. She says "Are you okay???" in a super snotty tone to which I replied "Yes bitch, learn to drive." She is lucky I didn't fake an injury and throw myself into the road! Seriously, who hits someone with a car then acts like it is the pedestrians fault!?!

Reason number two that Thursday the 12th relates to boy problems. I met this guy a few weeks ago when on a trip and we hit it off, or at least I felt like we did. In our drunken stupor, we didn't exchange numbers but definitely became facebook friends.. like at the bar. Anyways, I wanted to keep up communication with him in hopes that we would obviously fall in love sometime in the near future. I did not, however, want that communication to be solely through facebook. His number was on facebook and my friends suggested that I get it off there then text him and when he is like who is this answer the question but act like he is the dummy that forgot to save my number when we exchanged. Perfect. We were drunk, he totally won't know that I took this number off of the book, or at least that is what my friends said. Now, don't get me wrong, I am a VERY confident person. I will go up to anyone and let them know how I feel. I am not afraid to SAY anything to someones face. However, when it comes to texts and phone calls, I totally freak out. It took much coaxing from my friends for me to finally go through with this and as my sweaty palms typed a fun message, I could only imagine the outcome. He is going to think I am a stalker. This probably isn't even his number. What if he finds out I have been consulting my friends about this and now thinks I am a complete whacko. SEND.... Waiting... Waiting... No Reply. Maybe he doesn't have his phone at work. Maybe he left it at home or doesn't have service.. I am sure he will respond in the evening. NOPE. Failure numero dos of the day.

So Thursday the 12th has obviously not been my favorite day of the year thus far, but I knew that I would recuperate with some Grey's action once I relaxed from my stressful and traumatic day. But no no no, I didn't even understand what was going on with the Chief at the end of the show, so yet another failure of the day to mark down in the books.

In conclusion, next time I know that Thursday the 12th is coming around, I plan to get retarded drunk on Wednesday the 11th so that I am "sick" on the 12th and can take some personal time to enjoy the day.
